Dr. Marcelo Pias, Everson da Silva Flores, and Kauã Dalla Riva Cucco Barbosa, members of the Quantum@C3 research group, have been invited to deliver a talk at SACOMP 2026 (Academic Week of Computer Science), an event organized by students from the Computer Science and Computer Engineering programs at the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel).

The presentation will cover topics related to Quantum Computing, Quantum Machine Learning (QML), and applications of Artificial Intelligence in industrial environments. The speakers will also present research results developed by the Quantum@C3 group in the areas of Quantum Machine Learning, anomaly detection, and data-centric approaches to QML.

SACOMP is a long-standing non-profit academic event recognized for bringing together students and researchers from institutions across southern Brazil, including UFPel, UCPel, IFSul, FURG, and FATEC/Senac. The 2026 edition will take place from June 22 to June 26, bringing together the academic community for lectures, short courses, and activities focused on Computer Science and Engineering.
